Alexandria Kewitt was born in Cody, WY and received her BFA from the University of Washington, Seattle in 2013. Her practices in sculpture, installation, 2D works and improvisational dance respond to her interest in how the creative process can foster healing, connection, catharsis and play. She has exhibited work in the Pacific Northwest, including shows at the Jacob Lawrence Gallery, Blindfold Gallery, The Burke Museum, NEPO 5K, Ghost Gallery, The Alice, and Common Area Maintenance; and has participated in performances at the Henry Art Gallery, Studio Current, Freemont Abbey Arts Center, All Rise Site, Seattle; and on Whidbey Island. Alexandria has shown work at the UW Rome Center, Rome; and The Beta, Cody, WY. After 11 years living in Seattle, Alex and her wife are settling into their new home in Minneapolis/St. Paul.
