It all started when...
Alex Kewitt (they/them) was born in Cody, WY and received their BFA from the University of Washington, Seattle in 2013. Their practices in sculpture, installation, 2D works and improvisational dance respond to their interest in how the creative process can foster healing, connection, catharsis and play. Alex has exhibited work in the Pacific Northwest, including shows at the Jacob Lawrence Gallery, Blindfold Gallery, The Burke Museum, NEPO 5K, Ghost Gallery, The Alice, and Common Area Maintenance; and has participated in performances at the Henry Art Gallery, Studio Current, Freemont Abbey Arts Center, All Rise Site, Seattle; and on Whidbey Island. Alex has shown work at the UW Rome Center, Rome; and The Beta, Cody, WY. Alex moved to the Twin Cities in 2016.
